GULF HARBOUR - Welcomes You
Gulf Harbour is a development located 4 kilometres north of Auckland, New Zealand, at the end of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula. It has one of the country’s largest marinas and one of the country’s best golf courses, and it’s considered a haven for Auckland’s wealthy. Hobbs Bay is another name for the site, which was sold in the early 1970s by landlords, the Hobbs family, who still own some of it.

The club welcomes visitors from all over New Zealand and the world, who are welcome to use the pro shop and clubhouse as well as play the championship-rated course.
The Sandtrap Cafe is a nice place to rest for a meal after a round of golf, or for non-golfers to enjoy a cup of coffee while their partners are out on the course.

Begin your journey at Gulf Harbour Marina. Views of Auckland city and Rangitoto Island can be seen from the impressive warships. There is parking here, or you can take the ferry from Auckland city.
Take the direction that circles the marina. To escape the marina working zone, you’ll need to take a short detour in one area.
Cross Laurie Southwick Parade after the marina and continue north on the footpath. Take Gulf Harbour Drive to the left.
You’ll pass Gulf Harbour Recreation Reserve, which has a nice playground for the kids to enjoy (partially shaded by shade sails). Alternatively, cross the street to one of Gulf Harbour village’s cafes for a cup of coffee.
Continue on Gulf Harbour Drive until you enter Regency Park Drive (there is a pedestrian crossing opposite Wentworth College.
Take a walk along Regency Park Drive, which runs parallel to the river, and you might see some locals racing model boats. Ducks, black swans, and pukeko are all to be seen.
You’ll come to a small reserve with two slides and a second colourful children’s playground. To enter Fishermans Rock Reserve, continue on the path through the reserve, crossing Whangaparoa Road.
