Its disappointing to see cheap imports attract attention and finding their way onboard. We, like any retailer have the opportunity to stock and supply them - heavens, there are enough importers pedaling them. But we just don’t want to be involved or responsible for the high degree of recalls and problems they suffer.

It’s great to see enduring reputable brands such as Sharp, Philips etc. not sitting back but responding with price reductions themselves. Even though their pricing is dropping, the warranty support is still up there at the three year level. Brands we have grown up with stand by their products and offer reliable after sales support.

 I have noticed some marine stores selling unbranded 20” LCD TVs for 1299.00.(A common 20” price would be from say, $1900 to $2500) The scary thing here is, who made it ? parts ? service ? resale ?
